Default Twinmos 70x CF card promotion

saw this promotion at HWZ. $228 for 512MB.

http://www.twinmos.com.sg/promo/promo_april04.asp

some D70/D2H users buy and test the speed? It might be faster than Sandisk Ultra II....

maybe a little bit faster. but 300D's slow I/O is the bottleneck.

there's a diff..... from Rob's CF database, the performance difference between the top and bottom is quite big.

The problem is we never know up to what speed does the camera we use support? I mean for 300d or most high end digicam getting 70X speed does help. I am unable to get confirmation even from canon themselves on what speed does A80 support? so i may be buying 70X speed but my cam support 10X only haizz......................

no harm. even if it's not useful for the camera now, the extra speed will help when you download pics from a card reader or in a future camera that support the faster speed. but of course, buy only when you need the extra memory.... cos prices generally falls with time.
