    Default bead and jewellery photography

hi, would like some advice. Is it better to use a macro lens for beads and jewellery photography such as ear rings made from beads and crystals?

    Thank you.

If you are looking to show the intricacies of the (relatively) small beads/crystals, the higher magnification you can achieve with a macro lens should help.

Yes, a dedicated macro lens going down to 1:1 would help, or you could use short tele primes with auto extension tubes.

Besides lens, what's really critical in shooting jewelery is the preparation and lighting. Look up youtube - got lots of video on how to 'Photograph Jewelery'.
