I understand different shops have good prices for certain brands. lhjz, do you have any idea which are the shops which give competitive prices for Nikon cameras and lenses? What about Sigma and Tokina lenses? A friend is also interested in Leica.

Any idea on the names of the shops and the location? A list of the shops in CS forum in the past is outdated. Could not find some of the shops mentioned. Could have closed down or relocated.

Thanks.

if u are in HK then u ask me la
i bring you there hahaha

most shops are located in Mong Kok(tung choi st), Stanley Street, Tsim Sha Tsui (champagne court building)
me go to couple of shops

original lenses (canon, nikon) are not alwaz cheaper in HK, it really depends
i can say sigma, tamron, tokina lenses are pretty cheap as compare in SIN
abt 10% cheaper, sometimes they want to clear older lens when new model comes out, even cheaper loh
but dun forget.. no international warranty for most/all? stuffs

my prices definitely will not reflect the actual prices in HK
you hav to be there to see it yourself

Jz
ps. by the way i only buy things out of goodwill
not trying to make money out of this sales
me not salesman, me juz a lowly photog

Wink updates

Jeff: all the best for your exams mate

ydanz: yes you are right... but i haven't tried it yet

BluesJr: shld be cheaper than SIN but it will be quite stupid for me to go and ask all the diff prices for all filters rite... hehe more than 100 diff pcs leh
if u really interested, give me the model and highest price u willing to pay
i get it for u if its worth it

btw sigma 50-500 can be bought at SGD1450 if more than 2 orders (think its even better priced than second hand here hahaha.. cheap cheap)

Default What about Manfrotto and other cam supports

Very often, Manfrotto gear and other cam supports are almost always out of stock at CP, although the price is pretty reasonable, as compared with the prices quoted by B&H or Adorama. A friend waited for months for his favorite 055ProB legs and then, cannot tahan the wait, and then went for the chrome version.

I am looking for the 680B monopod. Just no stock, and don't know when coming too - as explaned by Christopher at CP. If their gear range, stock and prices are so much better than what we have here, I might want to go there for some Canto food and some photo shopping too.

Well.. I think AP has stock for the 680B and if they don't have.. you can ask them to order it for you.
