Yup. If you are in any of the scene modes or AUTO mode you have limited menu options.

Dino,

We also normally adjourn for dinner at Funan Centre after that, so next time you don't see us at Spinelli, we are most likely at Funan foodcourt. But best thing to do is to sms anyone of us to check before you show up just in case really no one was around a particular night.

Anyway, welcome to the D70 club!

yup...I went to Funan Centre foodcourt for dinner first then go over to Spinelli..maybe tats why missed u guys there...

In fact was wanting to ask whether any of you have managed to use a Sony F32X flash on a D70 (cos Sony F32x utilises the electronic hotshoe which to my opinion is suppose to be compatible to the D70 hotshoe)...but after trying out all methods also cannot connect the flash to sync with the D70

Currently does not have enough bullets to buy the SB800....(it was a damn nice pc of flash)

I have no experience using Sony flashes but if the Sony can use a standard hotshoe, ie, you can attach the flash on the D70 and trigger it, the flash can be used. But you must switch the flash and the D70 to full manual mode and calculate your flash exposure manually. Set your shutter speed to 1/60 and calculate your aperture based on the GN of the flash.

But then, you will lose all the high tech i-TTL and CLS features that the D70 and SB800s do so beautifully!

Not sure but maybe the trigger voltage is different. Have hotshoe and contact does not means that it will fire.
