HAHA. in marketing terms, it is cheap due to price senstivity.

it could be due to:
1) low switching cost ( you could sell away ur current kit and move on)
2) competition ( too many alternative to choose from)
3) continuous innovation that obsolete existing market models (company got no choice but to reduce price to make inventory go or get stuck when new models are launch by competitors)
4) consumer behaviour ( ultimately, buyers still look at price/cheap at the end of the day)
