Hope you all understand the condition of the shoot.

    Thank you for your attention.

lol din, eh the deletion of all the standby pp's name is really unintentional. dunno if ur msg is meant for me lol. dont worry, i'll abide by the rules. will only turn up if i get the organisers permission.

Sadly, the event is full, unless we have drop outs in the first 12 ... Then those in the reserve list will get pushed up, and you might stand a chance to go in too. But no worries, 2 weeks time on 30th May is another shoot coming up in the Civic District. So keep an eye out!

    Cheers

    Hi folks.

Just some administrative stuff before the shoot.

Our shoot is on this coming Saturday, 15th May 2010, and we'll meet at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaves Cafe at Raffles Hospital. The cafe is located at where the gloved pointer is at on the map. Please see map below for the location of the hospital. (it's just next to the Bugis MRT station entrance/exit)

For very new newbies, please bring along your camera manual, as I don't know every single camera out there. And since it is your duty to master the camera itself, will be good to read up the night before the shoot. Yes, ladies and gentleman, homework. Hehehehee.

And for that same group, I will try to conduct a short tutorial on exposure as we walk, so you better understand the concept of Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO, and how to make use of them to your advantage to take pictures. No guarantee that you'll straightaway take stunning pictures, but composition is something you have to learn and observe. Would appreciate the seniors to help guide the newbies along as well. Let's make them feel *LOVED*! Hehehehe.

As indicated, we will meet up at 7.30 am, and set off at 8.00am sharp.

I would appreciate if everyone could PM (Private Message) me their real name and phone number, so I can update everyone on the GO or NO GO status of the walkabout on that day at 6.00am. In case you are late, or lost, please contact me @ 9435-1330.

Do remember, to rest up and drink lots of fluids, don't want people dropping off like flies because of the heat of the morning sun.

    Cheers!

    Hi Ding,

Thanks for the note. But to remember everything in the manual is kind of difficult. Are there anything specific to remember? It would make remembering easier... Sorry if I am asking too much!

    SAM

Don't wanna waste a slot for the shooters, I'll just be like the wind... can't see but can be felt..

I just shoot in silence, or if anyone got doubts can ask me (Nikon camera settings) or about the usual ISO/ shutter / Aperture settings.
But do read the manual as Shifu Dingeroo mentioned....

    Meeting time is: 7.30am

    Participants list as @ 14th May 2010, 9.15pm

    Guide:
    1. ZeRoCoOl (VISIBLE shooter)

    Remember to:

    1. Charge your batteries
    2. Pack your camera & batteries
    3. Choose light clothing
    4. Bring your own water bottle (unless you want to buy as we go along)
    5. Your camera's manual (for newbies), as you'd be referring to them should I mention certain function. I don't strive to know all camera brand's function menu, you should. I strive for technical knowledge for taking good pictures.
    6. Cap/Hat/Topi/Skullcap/etc.
    7. Have enough rest
    8. Last but not least, wake up to be on time.

Hope to see you all there!
