http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/ca...ew/index.shtml One of the quote goes like this: "The Quick Shot feature reduces shutter lag, but the image on the LCD freezes while the camera is focusing. So you'll want to use the optical viewfinder in that case. " And here's the review for IXUS 400: http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/ca...ew/index.shtml I tested out the IXUS 430 today, seems like no diff to me. The new features are redundant to me, esp the print / share button. But the quick shot is a slight plus factor, although the Ixus 400 can perform similiarly by turning off the LCD display. |

But I rather you get the Lowe Pro 8 or the Rexo series. It's cheaper (about $18) and it offers much better protection. They offer compartment for extra batteries (useless for the Ixus coz proprietry and not AA) and flash card. Btw, how much did you get it for? |

I've got LowePro TX10 (Free gift) from the purchase...It's bulky and I would only bring it when travelling (can put even the charger in) Bought it at Courts, so not cheap ah...S$799 with some free gifts like 64MB Hagiwara CF (pathetic capacity..hahaha..i already got a 512MB Kingston), cleaning kit, LowePro TX10, mini-tripod. Actually AP selling at only $690... Thanks again! ![]() |

The free accessories are nice, but they can all be bought below $100. Sorry to dampen your mood. In addition to a mini-tripod, you might wanna get a bigger one. It's the bare essentials for clear night shots. SLIK is a nice and cheap brand to start with. Well CP = Cathay Photo. It's at peninsular plaza. Scout around and you will be able to find it. Cheers to another Ixus user. |
