Will hopefully be getting a D70 soon (fingers and toes all crossed!)
I'll be getting it with 2 additional lenses Nikon 18-70mm (kit lens) - General purpose and landscapes Nikon 50mm f/1.8 - General purpose and low light situations Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 - For a decent telephoto capability Just like to check how do the above lenses perform for macro photography?( I need to take photos of my wargaming miniatures...hehehe) Think should be able to get all of the above for about S$4k +/-? I currently have a Sunpak PZ5000AF flash which I'm hoping to transfer over to the D70. |

Well, not very close would be the short answer. However for wargaming, you should easily be able to use cheap-ish close up accessories to obtain the necessary magnification. Either close-up filters or third party extention tubes, or better yet if you don't mind mucking around with manual exposure, a lens reversing ring for your 50/1.8. But that will give you more magnification than you will probably need.
