    If I'm not mistaken, it's restricted by the firmware in your camera; the LX3 have this capability in their latest firmware.

    Canon EOS Cameras allows you to add your name in the EOS utility under Camera settings. 7D allows you to enter your name in the camera itself.

    For Nikon, you can go to Menu, Set-up and Copyright Information.

    D90 dun seems to have Copyright Information

    Lightroom (and other editors) can set the name upon importing the files.
