Default Why do colours look different between PS & Windows Picture Viewer?

    Hi all,

Am running Photoshop 7 & Windows XP on my PC.

Windows XP has this Windows Picture & Fax Viewer, which is fairly useful for image browsing.

I notice that for the same images, the colours displayed by the Viewer are more reddish compared to when I open the images in PS (more yellowish). Why is this the case?

All said, the colours in PS are closer to that the output on my Canon i950.

Can someone shed some light on this?

    Cheers!

Perhaps picture viewer ignores colour profiles.
I would use something better for general pic viewing, eg. ACDSee.

I thought ACDSee also ignores colourspaces.
