Default Urgent!!! Need Help For Hot Pixels!!!

    Dear all,

I am a new member and a newbie in DSLR, your help is greatly appreciated.
I have a few photo for you guys to see and help me answer the question below.
Unfortunately, attachment is not being enabled.
Please pm or post your email here so I can send you the photo.
Kindly help me answer the question below after seeing the photo

Is the amount of hot pixels within acceptable range?
Will the amount of hot pixels reduce if I extract it using tiff/raw instead of jpeg?
Is it normal for more than 5 hot pixels to show in normal photo taking?
Will you accept a camera like this?

    Photo was taken under:

    ISO 100
    Shutter Speed 1/30, 1 secs
    F22

    Thanks in advance.

Try uploading the picture to flickr or any image hosting site and post it over here

Oh btw, i never had hot pixels with shutter speed that fast. For my D60 hot pixels start to appear when shutter speed is above like, 30 seconds

Is it the grey spot near center towards the top? I noticed it in pic 1 and 2 when the objects are shifted by the grey pixel stays...

hot pixels appear as bright red dots or bright white dots.

    usually.

are you talking about a grey dot?

Thanks for the definitions. I think he/she was refering to the grey dots (just discovered a few more below) - can't notice any screaming bright dots, just those irritating-like-mosquito-dots...

First thing I notice were the two dust balls at the bottom also.

Btw, to check is best take a pix of a blank white piece of paper... not patterned walls.

My apologies for not knowing how to upload picture big enough to see the hot pixel.
What I am seeing here is red, blue and green dot.
I am just back from A&E, will try to upload a better one for all to see.
Center of the photo, there is obvious red dot and bottom left has the most, basically all over the photo.
    Pardon my noobness.

Hi daredevil123, can I not say the camera brand/model(there is a reason why and you could guess it right easily)?
What do you think after you have saw the photo, acceptable in anyway?

Some cameras exhibit the hot pixel thingy when exposure is slightly longer. I do see it in my Fuji S9500 as well when I do exposures longer than 15 seconds in low light conditions. But after processing and resizing, the spots are not visible. Yes, they are also green red and blue spots as well.

That is why I asked what is your camera model. May not be a problem, but an inherent inability of your camera's sensor to do clean long low light exposures.

And I can't guess why you do not want to reveal the camera model. Why? Do you feel inferior that your cam is not a "pro" one? You know, some of my best photos are taken with a 5mp PnS.
