Knew this is the most complaint fault with the EOS5, thought it would never happen to me, sigh.......
ANyone has similar experience with the EOS 5? Where did you send for repair(tcw or canon or elsewhere)? How much is the repair cost??? THanks for any contribution. |

I think it's way more than that at Canon. If i'm not mistaken, they replace the entire top part of the camera?
Anyway, give David a call at P&G. There are also DIY fixes available on the net if you're brave enough. ![]() |

can't exactly recall the correct amount but think it's more than 50 at csc.
I believe they replaced only the dial and not the entire top. |

There are many solutions and you don't have to replace the entire top of the camera. Horizon electronics in the US ruggedizes the command dial so that it doesn't break.

phew, thans for all the replies which ease my nerves.
Gave Canon a call, yap, its $30 for the dial replacement, not sure if they are going to replace the whole top I might be sending it for servicing as well for $70 at Canon, I have not send it for servicing since i bought it from a CSnapper last year. |
