the flash and the white balance of this pic totally takes away the mood of the photo, turning it into nothing but just a photo.
the ray of light is nice, but i'd suggest doing this without flash, get slower shutter speed, capture the many lights of the disco/pub, and capture the mood of the disco. here there's well, just a dj doing whatever he's doing.

You're very welcome Desmond. For club shots i guess its mostly about mood. Try playing around with slow/rear sync.
Now your pics are too small. LOL. 600 x 400 would be just nice i think. |

okay if you're really gonna flash
you gotta know how to control it that's the thing i hate about auto flashes.. lack of control of how much you want it to fill.. the only thing auto flashes have brought to me is faster shooting.. anyway yes twilo is right disco is all about mood.

as said above...
1) prefer wider shot... time to buy buy buy circular 8mm fisheye 2) prefer more ambient lighting 3) i would like to see a more distinct motion blur of the DJ in action with a rear sync flash to freeze the DJ. 4) picture too small... moi cant see the finer details... anyway i like the second one. imo, 1s is still too fast... |
