make it family friendly. Either need a few family member stay in same home for a car or pay 100k for a COE, or other specific worker that will definitely need a car, then lower Taxi and rental car hiring cost.

    BUT

you cannot have coe so low that's so affordable to everyone in every class.

take for eg, when coe was 70+k donkey years back, the sales execs were swapping flies in the showroom.
MPs should really be "forced" to drive during rush hour for a year... they'd get to feel what everyone is complaining about.

It should be MP & minister should have a taste of what the public are facing, including as mentioned plus ride bus and MRT during peak hours.

why everybody just talks about cutting number of cars?

why not improving the roads? Example, CTE. How many years have we faced jams on the CTE? how many years was ERP installed on the CTE?

What did the government do all these years????? Sometimes I don't understand their idea. They spend so much time and money on the outer ring road system connecting err... tampinese to Braddel, etc.

What is the point? now it is open, how many cars I see on it???

They built KPE... super underground expressway. But how many people uses it compared to the CTE?

They should built a parallel NS expressway LONG LONG ago connecting Woodlands, sembawang, yishun, AMK via thomson. They have it on plans but completed in 2020..... They should have done it 10 years earlier. Just built new towns like woodlands, Sembawang, yishun but forgot to build roads. The CTE is still in the same state like 20-30 years ago....

Yes, build roads everywhere. Roads that are only used by cars, and used heavily on certain times of the day, and empty on weekends/PH/other times. I ain't no ERP supporter but to build more roads is not the solution.

    /driver as well

nobody is asking for you to built an expressway to lim chu kang. Certain roads like CTE is very crowded not just during peak hours. Look at the ERP rates at the CTE, that will tell you how popular that road is.

I think roads is a BIG responsibility of the government as nobody else can built them. If you built new towns without proper planning on how the new residents is going to drive to the city....

COE prices are still considerably low despite the recent hike.
I feel it should be way much higher.
