Default Advice from Sifu on the photos taken

    Dear Shifus
Any idea why my pictures are all so yellowish taken with my 500D 18-55mm kit lens?
This only happen at night with lights on and no flash.
    The settings are as follows:
    AWB - Auto
Picture Style - Standard (Sharpness 3, Contrast 0, Saturation 0, Colour tone 0)
    f/stop: 5.6
    Exposure: 1/8
    ISO: 1600

Setting the AWB to Tungsten helps slightly but still yellow.

Any Shifu can help what setting is wrong or not set correctly?
Thank you in advance (my apology, words only, couldn't attach pictures)

Upload the picture to any photo hosting site (Fb, flickr, photobucket, etc) den you would be able to attach the image here.

Try using custom whitebalance instead, read your manual to know the process of doing so

Then again i might be wrong as i'm no shifu or watsoever

    I don't see what you're learning.

The replies so far have only been guesses. How do you expect people to help you find a solution when you don't give us the full problem?

Show us the image at least........

HI t/s, please upload a sample picture for us to see what is the problem. With a picture posted, we may be able to assist you further. If you do use awb and shoot in raw, then in photoshop or lightroom, you can try to change the white balance to either flourescent or tungsten. Usually these two white balance works best to "neutralize" that yellow tint that you get.

Your pictures speaks for you, not your camera.

get a white piece of paper and do a custom WB instead of using AWB as every light source has a different colour temp

Whenever I encounter such situations, I'd set the Picture Control to Neutral Mode and set the WB to K ard +/-2500k value & the lightings will be normal. Another way is to shoot in RAW
Photography? It's all in your mind...

Shoot raw & adjust colour temp to your content in post processing
