Default Mobile phone for old people

    Any recommendations?

    Would prefer:
    1) Loud ringing volume (vital!)
    2) Vibration
    3) Battery able to withstand for 3-4 days at least (a few calls a day)
    4) Less than $100 (new or 2nd hand)

My dad's phone is faulty, so i hope to get him one soon to replace it. My dad is a simple user, just simple phones will do. Don't even need a camera or polyphonic. I saw some cheap phones selling at 7-11. Not sure how good they fit the bill. Any idea?

Hope to get some ideas from here. Thanks in advance.

if you want to save a bit of money, don't go 7-11, mustafa sells it much cheaper, even for the warrantied phones. if you don't care about warranty, non-warrantied sets go for even less.

the nokia 1661 is a pretty decent phone with good battery life and reasonably loud. not enough to wake the dead, but the vibrations are fine. you can look at this one, if it's still available back in singapore.

If an elder is having poor eye sight and slow to pick up electronic stuff, then be very selective and opt for large buttons and LCD text.
Turn off the internet service from telco.
Set the ring tone that is unique.
    Change the language if required.
Avoid brand with complex menu, like Sony and LG. Green mean call and Red mean cancel.
