    Default Dry box needed for travel of 2 months?

    If i intend to go HK from june to august for about 2 months, do i need to bring along a dry box for my dslr?

    No. I will not bring even if it is 6 months.

    My room is a big drybox - humidity at only 18%

    I suggest you find out the humidity over there at that time.
    Dry boxes are very cheap over there.

    Why not use ziplock (?) and put in silica gel. That way it is more flexible, if you really need dry box. If you really need one, buy it in HK - it is a land of consumers and they have the latest and the fadest and the "cheapest" as well!

    The Ziplock with silica gel is the cheapest solution; light and portable.

    Depends on where you stay, if got air-con, then no point to use dry box liao.

    1st of all if you will be going there to take photos almost everyday then no need a dry box.
    If take photo every weekend still no need.

    For the peace of mind, follow other CSer's suggestion. Or just get a lock n lock and put your lens / body inside.

    The hydrometer in your room must be malfunction. Replace it quick.

    Um.. if you use your camera and the associated lenses very often you're not going to be getting any fungal problems...
