Default How to open RAW photos?

First and foremost gotta say thanks to Peterpan for organising the macro outing on the 6th March, Saturday! I learned quite a bit and had fun 'hunting and shooting'

After a few shots, I changed to save my pictures in RAW. But now, I have no idea how to open RAW files in my photoshop CS3. It is possible to open the files right? But how eh?

You need to download and install the adobe plug-in for Raw files, called Adobe Camera Raw.

Just google "how to open RAW files in Adobe CS3".

If you camera model is new, you may need to upgrade to CS4.

Or just use the SW that came with your camera.

Why are you doing this in the first place? Somebody told you something and you just do?
Check Digital Darkroom for threads discussing the topic and the RAW work flow. Do note how to work with RAW files, read up what the RAW files actually is.
