I like the pics.. modern look to old fashion foods..

the last pic, the top right and left corners have a rather distracting edge of the plate or what ever you put the kueh on... either you show it, like in no. 3 or not at all..

but very nice nevertheless.. i am just being picky........ and while i am at it.. is it me or are the pics a bit noisy? maybe due to scanning or something..

otherwise.. 9.5 out of 10 for the pics for a menu. nice fresh feel. if i was the shop owner, i would be pleased.

    Hi Jer...sure!

these were shot with a bare tube of flourecent (spelling?) bulb above the food abt half a meter. I also detached the 550EX flash with an off shoe cable. The flash was fitted with a lumniquest softbox for portable flashes. The colors were intensified in photoshop. Do hope this helps!

    Cheers!

Yup. White on white on white. Quite a challenge personally. The shop has a very clean modern feel to it and the owner wanted the pic to be as such too. As you can tell, the pics all have a very "clean" feel to it.

Or should there be some decorations like leaves, those ikan bilis,... the material to cook this food... i saw some of them do so.

yes, it is kind of a bit overblown, i dunno, just say what's in my mind.

Hi guys... the client wanted this simple. No decorations...I did another series previously...you can view them at my gallery...those have decorations and are a little different from this lot. This lot was meant to be used as a standard menu type of pic. Yes, some of the white in the egg is overblown...but tolerable. Cheers

Thanks Ron... custom gave me a redish tint while flourescent mode made it more bluish...i generally went for the bluish feel...
