Default TAMRON SP 20-40mm F2.7-3.5 for Canon 500D

Does somebody has this lens for they're canon 500D?

Any feedbacks regarding this lens?

I've researched abit about it in some lens review sites and i always see them tested for landscapes and architectural pics so i'm just wondering if it is also good for portrait pictures.

It's a wide-angle lens so your would ned to deal with distortions if you use it for portraiture.
