    Default Rule Of Thirds

Was trying to find pictorial examples on what Rule of Thirds means in clubsnap but found a few good links thru google instead.
The following links are pretty good guides in explaining what Rule Of Third means. Hope it helps.

Default Rule of Thirds available as a camera feature?

Not sure if this was on other digicam or not. But when I was playing around with Nikon Coolpix 8700 during the IT Show last week. I saw that it has this feature that will put up lines on the LCD display to assist the photographer to apply the rule of thirds.

Possible. In one of the articles i've read, they did mention some cameras do have guidelines to show you how to apply Rule of Thirds

Does the on demand gridlines in the 8700 fall divide the screen into thirds? The E-screen I have in my camera doesn't do that exactly...it sort of divides it into quarters and halves. I think the on demand gridlines are more to assist you in ensuring that the verticals are vertical and the horizon is horizontal. But of course, if you want, you can always use them for the rule of thirds!

My old Fuji S602Z has it.

I suppose the newer models (S7000, S5000, etc) should have it too.
