some photos....not superb but here goes...

More news on the event at : MalaysianRally.com

camera: eos300 w/ std. kit lens
film: fuji superia 200
aperture: f5.6

entry level scanner D646U Canonscan, scanned 4R photos at 200dpi, then scaled down in Adobe Photoshop to 800 (width) (auto aspect ratio so the height changes accordingly)

While I fully understand your desire to keep your pictures yours, the watermark is intentionally placed on the subject of the car and that makes displaying the photos here pointless. A less distinct (but still visible) watermark, or one that covers a smaller area of the car, would be much more preferable.

Going by the settings you posted, it appears the intention was to get panning shots, but the shutter speed seems a bit too slow to get the desired effect of keeping the subject sharp and the background blur.

In the jungle shots, you could try fill-flash to bring out the shadowed details - too much is lost there.

The fourth and sixth shots are pretty alright. The rest...... hmmm.

But the watermarks dilute the pictures. Do something about it.

R32,

I share your views :-) Here's the updated photos with more presentable watermarking as showen above.

Yes some of the subjects aren't sharp enough in the panned shots!! Will increase shutter speed next round.

Fill-in flash....will try that out too and post the results of the next round.

Thanks for the tips & insights!!

Cheers,
Allan

Sehsuan,

I'm there under the Ford Racing Team, so basically I only take pics of the Ford Focus cause that's my objective :-)

More pics of other cars with my humble A60 at : http://atnan.fotopic.net

Allan
