Default So close to a 1D mkII and 1Ds

Was at IT show just now. Drooled on the counter glass, beneath which there were a pair of 1D2 and 1Ds. Fortunately the glass was water-proof...

Bought myself a TDK DVD-writer This must be the first time I joined such a long queue. Well, can take more RAW files from now on.

A DVD-Writer really helps with archival and backup of pics One saved me last year when my PC's harddisk crashed.

Tom, I'm sure you're not the only one. They should have handed out disposable bibs

Just curious, was the 1D2 for display only, or for sale? Did they allow the public to handle the cameras? Was there a price tag on it?

    Hmm, must go down tomorrow.

Was that the 8x DVD writer? How much is it selling for?

1D2 is for only for display. No familiar face there, otherwise i would have been thick-skin to ask for playing for a while.

The TDK dvd-writing is 8x one, selling at 229 with 10 pc free dvd-r.

hmmm... can almost smell thru the glass display unit.. heh heh heh ....

think Wai has a photo of it.. and Agape01 was quite reluctant to leave the display case inspite of tugging him away...

    but 1Ds is so heavy!!
and the settings must press so many buttons simultaneously to change!
    and there's no focal mux!
And the viewfinder is so big and bright shooting sunsets with that 16mm will eventually blind you faster than before!
and the per-pixel quality at 100% is enough to make you wanna shoot 12mp RAW for the rest of your life -- killing your HDD, DVDRW and shelf space!
    I prefer the 300D + grip myself.
