This pic was taken in one of my walks along chinatown. The elderly folks seemed resigned to the fate of being next in the demolition works. More of street shots can be found in my gallery. |

nice, the posture of the 2 elderly folks gives a bleak feel , depends on your aim.
Bleakness - I think the pic got the right feel |

i like this pic! the existing tranquil and ordered residential environment is depicted by the geometrically balanced architectural facade. this is rudely shattered by the intrusion of the construction crane on the right of the photo, which not only breaks the visual symmetry but also symbolically signals an impending chaos. the elderly residents are finely captured in varying postures of resignation to the unfolding events. the closed windows on the right constrast against the opened windows at the left, suggesting a gradual "crowding out" of the old folks' personal space. this is an engaging scene of emotional subtlety.

Did you developed and printed this yourself...?
Requires more work in the darkroom... But nice capture of the moment nevertheless! Cheers! |

Hey thanks people for the encouragement
The film was hand processed by me but not printed as yet. This is one of the shots scanned into my computer. As the title suggests...it gave me a feeling of hopelessness and resignation to the march of progress..a David and Goliath kind of scene but here David succumbs to Goliath. Cheers and happy shooting |
