    Hi bros,

Any one know what does HDR means? May I know what is the feature for this mode? Read the manual and don't really understand

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

It's good for shots that have a lot of bright and dark spots where detail is lost if you shoot normally.

The brilliant lighting and the detail looks like HDR to me.

Suggestion for HDR was in reference to kolaken's pics, not Supersimon's

    Hi bro,

Thanks for your reply. So if I turn on HDR mode permanently, it won't affect any shooting scene ?

I won't recommend turning on HDR permanently, but only when you need to.
HDR will take 3 shots and then take a while to process them. In several cases, you should probably use it with a tripod... and of course you can't use it with RAW or with continous drive.

Agree, a tripod will be better.
So far I don't have good results with handheld.

Agree on this. HDR mode seem to produce very strange effects when handheld.
I would recommend if you want more DR to set the shadow and highlight compensation to max instead. At least that is how I have set mine.
