Restless Eyes: My Journey as a Photographer
Ken Seet
March 13, 2pm
Ken Seet is one of Singapore’s most sought-after commercial and fine
art photographers. Since his love affair with the camera began 12 years
ago, he has held a dozen photographic exhibitions (including six solo
shows) in Singapore and overseas. Ken’s works have been widely
published and are collected by individuals and corporations including
DBS Bank, Citibank, and Fullerton Hotel. Ken most recently received the
National Arts Council Young Artist Award for 2003.


Capturing the Infinite Images of Nature
John Arifin
March 13, 4pm
John Arifin’s passion for nature photography has taken him to many
remote places in the Indonesia archipelagos and Malay Peninsula. He has
brought back images to share his work and knowledge of nature through
photography. He leads and develops nature photography workshops in
Singapore with Nature @ Work. John's work has appeared in books,
newspapers, magazines, calendars and television programs.


Shooting Fashion in Our Own Backyard
Geoff Ang
March 14, 2pm
Award-winning fashion and advertising photographer Geoff Ang has been
creating thought-provoking and edgy pictures for many years.
Self-taught at an early age, Geoff went on to launch GEOFFSTUDIO in
1998. Accolades for him include Fashion Photographer of the Year award
at the Singapore Fashion Week 2001, as well as advertising honours in
the Clio Awards and the New York Festivals among others.


Eternal Truths... Familiar Idioms
Shyam Tekwani
March 14, 4pm
Shyam Tekwani is a photojournalist turned academic who spent over a
decade covering conflict and terrorism from the frontlines in South
Asia as staff photographer for India Today. His exclusive reportage of
the separatist war in Sri Lanka has been published in Newsweek, Time,
and other publications. A portfolio of his pictures resides in the
collection of the Magnum photo agency. Shyam teaches photo-journalism
courses at Nanyang Technological University.


All public talks are organised by Objectifs - Centre for Photography
and Filmmaking as part of its annual Shooting Home photography
programme. The talks will be held at the Singapore History Museum
Auditorium (Level 3, Riverside Point, 30 Merchant Road). Admission is
