Thanks for sharing. Some white balance adjustments will do justice to your pics.

The food and composition looks good.
But the exposure and white balance could do with some improvements.

    Thanks for all the comments!

Not sure if the WB is off because of my monitor. Looked ok when I was adjusting it. However, it doesn't look as good when I viewed it from another terminal. Nevertheless, I will try improving it again.

The food was indeed great and the price, reasonable! I am so tempted to return for the pork knuckles!

Yes. It is just outside the Singapore Zoo within the compounds of Mandai Orchid Garden.

Will take note of the comments. It was quite dark in the restaurant though. My 500D was struggling already.

did u took all pics with flash?

cos the last time i went there, it was so dark that the table next to me, an angmoh asked the waitress to on some more lights cos he cant read the menu with such dim lights! couldnt take any nice pics and i refuse to use flash to spoil the atmosphere and get strange glares from tables around.

food wise. not really nice imo. steak was overcooked as me and my gf ordered medium. waited damn long for the food. and as i read from the menu that one of the deserts need 15mins time to prepare, i ordered together with my mains so that they could prepare it (its initiative). But after my main, i waited close to 30mins for my desert to be served. overall, it was a simple dinner that took me 2 hours. I had better food, better service at Jaan.

sorry for whining about the place. it was just... argh. thought i found a good place to dine thats not in the crowded city area, but i was wrong

Took the pictures without flash using a 50mm f1.4.

When was the last time you went? I understand from research on the internet that the restaurant management changed not too long ago. Since the change, the reviews were encouraging. Hence, I gave it a try and the fact that it was the nearest place to the Zoo.

With the old management, the reviews were crap!!!!!

They ran out of knuckles the last week when I was there. Still other stuffs like lamb rack and Yorkshire pock cutlets were great.

I was advised to order in advance for the pork knuckles and that I was lucky that it was available for order the night I was there.
