    try taking sports photography with a p&s with 35-105mm lens, for example.

    Depends on the sport old sport. I've done it for a bet and the shots made the newspaper back in 1986.

    I'll take up that challenge as well. Heck, make it more interesting and let's make it a 4x5 camera.

    well, there's always exceptions

    i still remember the joker a while back who proclaimed himself a skilled birding photographer with a rangefinder....... now that, i find it hard to believe, unless he had a gun too.
