# Thread: Question on the batteries in battery Grip

1. ## Question on the batteries in battery Grip

as the battery grip allows two batteries to be put in at the same time,

1. What if the two batteries are having the diff capacity?
2. What if one of the battery is not in full charge where the other one does.
3. If 1 battery = 1000 shots for example, does 2 batteries = 2000 shots?

4. Is it good to put two batteries inside at the same time?

Thanks

Hello, jackzhangxiao.
Let me see if I can help you in as best a way as I could:
1. Not a problem with batteries of different capacity.
2. Two batteries at different levels of charged-ness - not a problem at all.
3. This one I am not sure. Technically I guess yes. But in real life, it is hardly a 1+1=2.
4. Sure, put two batteries in. I do that all the time. That's one of the few reasons why you got yourself a BG, right?

Hope this little bit helps.

Thanks Limwhow,

The reason why i was worried about two batteries are putting together is because if there is no proper circuit design within the BG, and if two batteries are having diff charging level, re-charge effect may occur which will damage the battery and reduce the battery capacity badly.

They cannot recharge each other that way because of polarity since the circuit is a parallel circuit (positive to positive, negative to negative). So no worries there
