so what if 30k is enough or not? if a guy married a girl, and the guy then lost money, so then the girl will just leave him? the guy's worth is measured just with money? no money no love?

girls should just go and date atm machines
the fact that you post right after you read the 1st post goes to show, u're those typical singaporean who jump to conclusion without looking deep into things.
i guess you're those who see things on surface, and u choose your gf based on looks.
what difference does it make if you compare yourself to what you stereotyped?

like it or not....u have to see how many couples quarrel over $$$ and even to the point of divorce...it is another factor besides adultery...and $$$ is not just abt been materialism...if u read it as face value yes but if u probe deeper into it..it is beyond that. yes some sgp girls are more concern abt $$$ but not all. please don't over generalise. maybe Ms Jeanie shld close the thread.....

oh, i should have been responding to your post instead. it is a chinese saying that describes how poor couples (those who have to worry constantly over $$$) are always miserable...perhaps to the verge of divorce just the way you described... hope i explain it close enough

well.. i agree with you.. 95% is not "all", wait.. even 99% is also not "all". there's still a 1% chance that the girl is genuine, sincere and doesn't use money to measure a person's worth. hey, it's still a chance

anyway, people can choose to agree or not. it's just IMHO

would u spend 1 mil on a spyker that looks like crap when u can get a f430 scud?

would you buy a lv wallet when you can dump your cards and cash into a NTUC plastic bag?

would you buy a durex condom when you can use saran wrap?

    it's all about personal preference.

most importantly, maybe you might want to ask tengku sultan of johor why he has a camaro ss and why on earth would he want to drive this 'crap' car into singapore when a rolls will suffice.

    why why why?

Haha I got it a long time ago, probably before you were born, but since I don't know your age I can't be 100% sure of that. With that said yanking your chain is I must admit a bit easy, kinda like shooting fish in a barrel

Would I buy a spyker? Yes, no, maybe. Would I buy an F430 soccer hooligan coupe? NO. Tempt me with a Bowler or a Koenigsegg Trevita or a Grubb-Parsons mirror and I'd be tempted.

I don't have a wallet, I use a credit card purse as I keep loosing wallets. I'm just a mere male afterall.

Have no use for condoms .. I'm a unpracticing non-eunich.

Who says sultans have to have either taste or class? That's akin to saying GW bush had intelligence or Tony Blair is as honest as the day is long.

Why why why why? Good question and the answer is 42.

Jeanie why would you want an american car of all things? They have poor maintainence and suck fuel along the lines of a gallon per mile or that's at least how it seems.. The only American car I've ever liked is the Mustang

Totally agree.. most singaporean males cant attain that..
Those that are able to attain that probably dont have time to hang around in CS kopitiam anyway..
