    Default Time for changing color silicon gel in Microwave

    Hi guys,

    wanna ask that about the silicon gel.

    How long should i put inside the microwave in order to change them from pink back to blue? should i set the power level of microwave to low or high?

    e instructions say abt 1 min but i try before and it took me 3 mins to turn it back to blue.

    Don't use too high a setting and do it quickly.

    Past a certain temperature, the structure of the compounds may fuse together and be less effective in absorbing moisture.

    Also, the fumes released during heating is carcinogenic. Please open all windows and blast fans all over the place.

    Reason enough to stop this practice entirely. Who wants to eat food prepared in that microwave?

    er..silicon gel is cheap...is only like..$5 per bottle which able to last for 1/2 a yr....er.. y not jus buy 1 bottle?..safety more important..n it isn't tat exp...

    i put it in more than 5 mins. it still pink...... I set it to medium

    My one turns to pink only after 3 months time. may be the box that i am using now is not that so sealed...
