Hi,

You can always request for either glossy or matt finish for prints.

Cheers!

Hmmm.. beautiful memories sound good. How much are they charging? Are the lab personnel there professional enough to make a judgement call on the colour of the photos?

I always prefer matt finish ...

The charges of beautiful memory is 50cents per pc.. include GST will be 52.50cents.
And i dun know if they are professional. But the boss really nice, you can tell them what you want , and they will print for u. He even give me a file which i can add some more feature to my photoshop program..

I dun know how to phrase it.

When you see it right after it print out, it will look kind of over shine and gloss effect. After a few hours, where they will be fixed, it will look like normal matt. Anyway, it is true that pictures from Beautiful Memories are more pink and bright. I kind of like KT's one for portrait as it will give a very nice yellow tone (just slightly yellow tone). Moreover, it is only 30cents per 4R, compared to Beautiful Memories 50cents. Just because they charges more does not mean it is better, likewise the other way round. KT is reasonable quality and value for money I must say.

KT is located along Upper Cross Street, just next to the UOB bank branch. 4R at $0.30. Just remember to mouth the magic phrase "I'm from Clubsnap".

I've tried Beautiful Memories (BM) too, excellent service, but that's a premium price you pay for. As for the 25-cents place at Chinatown Point... well, I'd say that I will not be going back there - I'm quite fussy when it comes to my prints. No compromise on quality and colour fidelity please.

Karyinn - I do suggest you try out some of the good Frontier labs around, like Konota, BM and KT, since you stay around Redhill. I've tried all three and I'd say that they are good.

Hi Azure ..

Thanks very much. I really can say i am from Clubsnap to KT, then they will take care of my prints.
Who can i look for over there? The counter person might think i am weird for saying that?

And also.. where is BM..

KT uses Fuji Crystal Archive Supreme, just like Konota and Beautiful memories. I don't think u even need to mouth the magic phrase to get that price.

I want to a shop which develope quality prints. I thought of sending them to RGB at Beach road for printing. But one copy cost 58Cents, is so kindof expensive. Do you have other shop which print 40 - 50 cents each?
I dun think is my digital camera fault or my skill fault. As previously i play around with SLR camera. I am using Sony P9
please advice me.
Hi Karyinn, why do you print them online to save all your time? try www.adamphoto.com.sg upload all your photos to their site, print it online and have all your print sent it to your doorstep!! best of all they r charging only $.35 for 4R (with or without whiteborder) no handling charge!! if more than 50 prints, they even get their riders to send it to your home or office!!
try them @ www.adamphoto.com.sg

I would recommend Fotohub along Bt Timah Road, it is located after 2nd Avenue and before the Mobil. Been using their services recently, and am very pleased with the quality.

Charges: 45 cents per 4R. If you process more than 10 copies, then the $5 handling charge is waivered. 50 cents per 4R if you want white border.

And they got this new 'Jumbo Print' thing, which is an uncropped 4R print for digital cameras, measurement is 4 inches by 6.5 inches or something like that. This is so your pictures dont get cropped either horizontally or vertically due to the different ratio from digital cameras, as opposed to flim or DSLR's 3:2. This 'Jumbo Print' thing looked interesting, not sure if other shops offer it too.

Karyinn - my personal preference is to print at reputable Fuji FDI labs. Good ones IMO are Color Lab, Konota, KT, Beautiful Memories, 35mm, DigiPro. For KT, suggest you go down on or after the coming Monday as their staff are mostly away for company holiday or something. Look for Michelle. She's the one who does most of CSers' prints, including mine. Quite a number of good wedding photogs print apparently, as do some fashion/editorial folks.
The paper used is Fuji Crystal Archive Supreme (matte or glossy), printed on Frontier 350.

Hi

I usually go to the Soo Kee outlet at Suntec City. The girls there are very competent and friendly. Printing quality is very good. Once I had a whole batch of about 8 x 36 rolls of shots taken, but for some reason, it turned out yellowish. As I sat outside the bench near the escalator, one of the girls walked by and asked if everything is alright. I told her the pix looked too yellowish. She took back the entire batch of photos to check and by evening, a second print was done for me FOC! Now that's service.

The other outlet that I usually patronise is Ee Ming at International Plaza. It is run by a husband and wife team. Quality of print is extremely good and service is always excellent. Takes very good care of their regulars.

Cheers

I alway go in the counter and adjust my own photos be4 letting them to develop.

If the boss is doing the development, I usually let him decide

I've been sending my photos to Shalom Colours at Bras Basah Complex. They use Fuji papers... good friendly service, and most importantly, great printouts...

Hi Karyinn ,

You can also try grace labs . Its near clementi if you live near there .

The prints from there are quite good as I think they are using the fuji frontier machines to print.

The paper they use are the fuji crystal archieve supreme paper . Price wise is also reasonable .

I used to print from places near the peninsula plaza area but have been pretty disappointed coz the standards vary and are not consistent . ( Just a personal opinion here no flaming pls )

So far I've been satisfied with the prints from grace labs .

You may follow this thread to read the reviews abt this lab . Don't just take my word for it ... print a few and judge for yourself

http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthrea...ght=grace+labs

For grace lab's contact info and operating hours and cost

http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=49923

Oh if you are printing from there , do remember to say the magic phrase , "I'm from clubsnap " .. Instant discount

Cheers
