    Hi Jas

just wondering if you have any pricing for airfare and hotel accommodations as yet...

also are there any photography routes you plan to explore?

    regards

I will check on the pricing of airfare and let you know. Or whoever free to check, please do.

Photography routes? Most likely outskirt of Bangkok and a fair bit within Bangkok. We can always discuss this later, am flexible...

Got a quote from one of my travel agents:

    Promotion for flight only:

    [1] Thai Air $260 + $39 tax = $299

Restriction of time travel: Departure 8th/9th April (7.55am), Return 12th April (6pm)

    [2] Cathay Pacific $230 + $39 tax + $30 surcharge (for 8th to 11th travel period) = $299

    No restriction on travel time.

    [3] Singapore Airline $350 + $39 tax = $389

    No restriction on travel time.

As for accomodation charges, Ruth should have a better picture, no?

Or maybe all of you can book a whole guesthouse along Khao San road? Good nightlife along there too... and its very close to the main spots...

Thanks duhville, I like your kapoing

I just called Muhibbah Travels (Tel: 6294 2011) and here are their quote:

March Promotion for flight & accomodation:

[1] Thai Air + 3 Star Hotel 4D3N stay (Asia Hotel) - $395 inclusive tax, daily breakfast, airport transfer, 1/2 day city tour

[2] Thai Air + 4 Star Hotel 4D3N stay (forgot the Hotel name liao since I am not terribly keen with this offer ) - $497 inclusive tax, daily breakfast, airport transfer, 1/2 day city tour

The agent advised me to call her back next week to get the April promotion, which should be a hike of around $70 for the peak period.

    Default Alternative option

Just received a promotional email from priceline, can fly to bangkok for $160 return, with the following terms and conditions:

The prices stated are per ticket, and exclude airport taxes and a S$16.50 processing fee
The price is subject to availability with our partner airlines
The S$160 price to Bangkok will get you a seat on a high-quality international carrier.

    - More seats are available if you are ready to depart within the next 10 days, if you can avoid departures on Friday and Saturdays, or if you can book in advance (25 April onwards).

thanks berryhappy for the info. Any contact details (email/telephone) I can do a follow up?

    go to:
    http://www.priceline.com.sg/eng/airl...y.asp?City=BKK

Check Bangkok as your destination, choose your travel dates and the no. of tickets, and on the next page to "name your own price", enter 160 in the yellow box.

They will then add the airport taxes and a S$16.50 processing fee.

Usually once you enter your credit card details, if places are available, your ticket is confirmed immediately, and payment will be deducted. Only then you will get to know which airline you are flying (so there is element of risk). No change of date or cancellation I think. The ticket(s) will be mailed to you within days.

ok, i named my price at $160 and here is what I get:
(Seems that this is only $60 cheaper than what I was quoted)

    Depart: Thursday 8 April 2004

    Return: Monday 12 April 2004

Departure Airport: SINGAPORE - CHANGI INTL
    Arrival Airport: BANGKOK INTL
Flight Times: The airlines will choose your flight times. Your flight will depart between 6am to 10.30pm.
    Passenger Names:
    CH KOH
    DF KOH
    SD KOH
    AS KOH

    Connections: Non-stop flights only.
Airline: A world-class full service airline
Your Offer Price: SG$160.00 (per ticket)
    Estimated Taxes: SG$63.00 (per ticket)

    Ticket Cost: SG$223.00 (per ticket)

Processing Fee: SG$16.50 (per ticket) more information

    Subtotal: SG$239.50 (per ticket)

Number of Tickets: 4 round-trip, economy class tickets

    Total Charges: SG$958.00 or less

This is the maximum amount that you could be charged for your tickets if your offer price is accepted. Total charges could be LESS, since taxes, fees and charges vary.

So did you get your tickets? Which airline?

Er..$60 out of $240 is 25%, or out of $300 is 20%, usually priceline is only about this amount less. Maybe air asia will be cheaper.

thanks. called them already (6535 5588):

SIA flight + 3D2N Orchid Hotel (Chinatown area)

    $318 + $30 peak period surcharge + $39 Singapore tax + $20 Thailand tax = $407

Additional night extension: $25 per person per night

Wonder if this offer is good...

Anyway, flight seats are scarce, so I was told...
