joined the photography club in the secondary school.
but couldn't afford to buy a camera, as the camera is not cheap and it's costly to develope the film, so I just learn some theory by reading some magazines.
until last year I bought a digital camera, now can shot whatever I like. hoho.

looked through the viewfinder of my dad's old Pentax ME Super and thought "This is way cool!". he wouldn't let me use it, so i saved up till i bought my own SLR, Pentax P30T, 10 years ago.

been shooting ever since. still got my old camera, and now my dad's Pentax as well.
Today is a gift; that's why it's called the present.

This was what really got me started back in 86'... with a simple Pentax MV-1 and a 50mm f/2 kit lens!

My first camera was a box camera using the 110 format film, and that kind of flash bulb which can only fire once. (no need battery) I actually had saved enough soft drink bottle caps to exchange for this box camera.
(And you guess what year was that?)

Have always been a visual person. M a film buff =)

Started with Point n Shoot in primary school.

Got my 1st SLR in 2002. Began shooting like crazy, shot for campus paper. 1st contact with a D1.

Loved the ECA so much that I became the photo editor for the paper in 2003. Hogged the D1H for almost a year..n chose all the "best" events to cover...like MTV Asia awards. =P Learning curve was fast with digital. Also learnt how to colour-correct photos.

Won some prizes in campus photo competitions. Used the cash to buy lenses.

Now..am gonna graduate soon. Miss the D1H...got my trusty F80 though! Will be heading down together to the Everest region come May! woohoo!

    Haha...
Me started with video cam, back in 2001...
Then recently, was amazed by my friend's F717 & his pics...
So switched to photography... But now thinking back, his pics were not that amazing also..

My dad bought me a SLR for my 21st birthday! I'm grateful to him for that, cos I've never looked back since!

    U serious? Sounds bad...

My dad incurred the wrath of my dear mummy for getting me the SLR, cos she's always complaining that I run around with my heavy eqpt, don't behave like a girl, waste money blah blah blah.

He bought me a Minolta 3xi Having just started out with photography then, I was contented with a 35-70mm lens.

To make myself clearer, I took up photography because I was a trainee learning to repair camera---> we need to know about shutter speed and aperture and stuffs regarding the functions of cameras.....

Can you imagine my pay at tat time?? I tell you....it's S$700 only......minus the CPF it's only S$500 left. The 1st camera I've repair is a Minolta X-700 and the 1st camera I've own is also the X-700...it means alot to me.....all my feelings of me saving-up to the happiness of actually buying it is there when I use this camera.

    Getting sentimental lah.........
