My 1-2yr old C3020 fell several times together with the tripod. The camera still works fine but there are several cracks in the casing. I want to diassemble the camera so that I can seal the cracks with super glue. Can someone direct me to instructions to diassemble it? Thanks in advance.

couldn't find any on the web, but looking at mine, there are only 3 exposed screws, guess you start with these 3.

Tried to dismantle b4 but with limited success. The top plate can be removed but I have diffculty sperating the front and back of the casing. I afraid to use strength in case I break it.

in that case, probably good to consider reinforcing the fissues externally instead of inside out? Assuming the cracks are exposed externally as well..
If you use the extremely watery sort of superbonding adhesive and run a thin coat along the cracks , capilliary action will pull it in. Let it set and dry. A grungy looking C-3020 is still better loads better than a pile of unassembled parts... |
