D70 iTTL accuracy

Has anybody managed to see how accurate the iTTL of the D70 is? Especially when shifting between bounce and non bounce flash. I find that for almost all flash systems, bounce tends to require flash compensation, which needs to be changed when shifting back to non bounce. Not sure whether iTTL solves that problem.
