Read that it doesn't support D-TTL metering, so what happens when I use a SB50DX with a D70?

There should be only TTL but the problem is there's no film on the D70 to meter the TTL... so is it auto or TTL only? I'm still confused.

Which means that it'll be firing off at full power all the time?

1) You have SB-80DX with D-TTL only: If you are using D70 which do not support D-TTL other i-TTL, chances are you will get to use SB-80DX in AA or manual (M) mode. 2) You have SB-800/600 with i-TTL and D-TTL: If you are using D100 which do not support i-TTL, you can still use D-TTL in flash mode. Ultimately, you won't gain anything extra by upgrading to SB-800. ![]() |
