2. So far I have had no problem with focus hunting, however if you are focusing in a dim light/low light condition, focus hunting is quite common, this can be solved by the AF-Assist on your external flash. which will help very much. 3. Most of the lenses now are 23xxxx, though there are some 201xxx and 202xxx. 4. 3050 sounds like a good price (including GST?) cash or credit card price? 5. Hmm.. lets see.. you need to check that the VR works in both horizontal and vertical shooting, and in panning, vertical and horizontal. I have noticed that there is a velvet (foam/sponge) int he lense, when you look down the barrel from the rear of the lens you can see as though it is very rough edge, I have tested and checked 7 lenses and all have this problem.. I think it is manufacturing thing from Nikon. Also most of the new lenses have a very tight zoom ring, have seen 2 with very loose zoom rings.. dont really know what that means.. test the FTM (full time manual), test the Active and Normal VR and also test the limits on the lens. CHeck that the rubber collar on the bag of the lens mount is not damaged. And.. well if I miss out something.. rest of the guys will sure add.. hehe.. |
