Whole bunch of invited guests sitting in front and blocking the 1/4 , I couldn't
shoot in full body view.

Hi Ken,

I felt there's a major color cast problem in your shots.

I took the liberty to color correct one of them:

Cheers,

Tim

If I were to guess, you were using a D100 with a SB80DX?
There's too much yellow... reducing yellow by about 5% will be better.

well, you're right about the colour cast thing...and also, the shots are uploaded to the web in AdobeRGB mode? try to convert to sRGB, then upload.

I'm not familiar with AdobeRGB & sRGB thing. Care to elaborate more?

By the way, pictures were taken by 300D+70-200mmF4L, RAW converted
to Tiff and to Jpeg.

if you're using photoshop to post process your shots:
Image >>> Mode >>> Convert to Profile
then select sRGB IEC61966-2.1

click ok and save the file.

In Windows, no Internet browsers can display AdobeRGB.
only Safari, OmniWeb & MSIE on Mac can properly display Adobe RGB or any non-sRGB color space. that's also why sometime most Mac user "screwed up" initially.

what rncw said is true... the proper way to view an image which are in AdobeRGB colorspace on Windows is using an ICC profile aware app, like Adobe Photoshop.

Another thing is f you do set your camera colorspace to AdobeRGB and are shooting in JPEG on your DSLR, the resultant JPEG files are still tagged with sRGB profile in its EXIF.

So when you do open up those JPEGs for editing please make sure you set it to the right color space or you will be using the wrong color values.

Note that this does not apply to RAW capture.

On my Mac, I use an AppleScript droplet to properly embed AdobeRGB color space to my JPEG files.

Don't want to bother about all this? Easy... just stick to the default sRGB colorspace, yes it's narrower but for most application it works.

Now, as I can see from the EXIF, you are converting this RAW file via PS CS on Windows, do read the manual on setting the right WB in ACR.

A quick and easy way is to use the eyedropper and pick on a gray or white object in scene.

Play with the WB & tint control on ACR.

Cheers.
