surprisingly sharp through out. good action. slight barrel at wide and. hood blocks flash. decent neutral colours, a tad cool, but it could be just me. no visible fall out. so-so contrast, but it's probably me not knowing how to take pictures. at that price you can't be too far wrong. i was referring to the 18-70.

I've seen the shots loaded by BeachBoy, looks pretty ok, distortion is there, but need to have a hands on and take more sample shots before conclusion. 18-35mm is a pretty good lens also, the AF-S 24-85 is fast, sharp and good.
