Default Pls help : problem with 420EX ext flash

    Hi CSers,

need to check if anyone faced this issue and if there is any solution to it before I send my 420EX to Canon.

Problem : it can't reach full charge even with fresh batteries... thus I can't use the flash... what's wrong? Everything else seems to be working.

    Thanks in advance.

How do you know that the flash is not being charged fully?

because he say he cannot use the flash... give you a clue.

if a new set of AA akaline also cannnot use? can it be on?

if not on... its the contact pin not touching... meddle a bit.
if can on but cannot fire... send in to Canon for servicing

Oh. Thought you can't fire the flash at full blast. I have not encountered this problem of not being able to fire my 420EX. Even if it is on low batt, it just happens to take a longer time to charge. You probably need to send it in for repairs.
