Thanks for the news bro. May I know how to calculate the new road tax? I would like to find out if it is cost effective to convert.

Also, can I do it over the web? Tried searching over One Motoring but not much info being given. I thought we should be receiving some notification by post by LTA?
    Kind Regards

No Worries bro its not posted in the webby as yet cos i had received a call from LTA informing me of that.

Cos from what i know perviously if OPC owner need to convert they will need to head down to LTA to do it so i send a feedback to LTA.

Maybe you can try calling LTA provide them your plate and they will calculate the prorated road tax to you.

I was thinking, if one can afford a car, why take the risk of just saving $20 and get find/jail if get caught? Just not worth it.

I agree to that but you know there are sure pple with itchy backside. Thinking of challenging the limits.

Just 2 months ago a friend's friend had been summon to court and fine of $5,000 of not putting the coupons up haizzz heart pain but no choice as his backside itchy.

    A lesson learnt.

I guess if those with itchy backsides wanted to take the risks, they have to bear the consequences then.

You can try driving an OPC during restricted hours without a valid e-license if you don't believe it.

For the conversion, the smallest CC, the better.
the min to pay to convert is $100 + (pro-rated roadtax OR $20)

I am driving a 1.1, so i gotta pay $120. whereas my fren driving a forte gotta pay ard 3**+

The rule of the thumb is that the roadtax offset will drop from $800 to $500. So depending on ur car's roadtax the amount will vary. Max cost incurred will be $100 + (Roadtax - $500)

is it REALLY true that all this traffic police have quota in catching traffic offenders? if this is the case, then if everyone is law-abiding, then these policemen would have no bonus at all?
Mythbusters - the bigger the explosion, the better it is.

TP do have extra bonuses if they can catch more pple who are breaks the law. Their normal bonus comes from u and me the taxes payer kash. So the extra or variable bonus comes from catching peep with illegal mods, summons, etc.

A friend told me they are very happy when there are Ops time so extra kash for them but he quited the force just recently only haha. Take for example that time Garment said that there are no variable bonus for all civial servants (July bonus) haha the next thing u see is TP on OPS the very next day and for the next few mths. @@ my point?

Just like 'Fatimah' haha the more peep they catch for illegal parking in MCP or cheat on parking etc the more bonus they have. I even encounter 'Fatimah' coming to my area MCP in 3am haha @@ so damn onzzz.
