    Welcome to Clubsnap!
You are well on your way! Your photos are above-average without a doubt.
If this is your definition of "trying to learn digital photography", you'll go a long way!

#1 and #2 is slanted. #3 can improve on the composition. I used to take pictures without thinking through the composition. got such comments from here before and i learn from there.

but what i always have in mind when taking photos is "what i want viewers to see and feel about my photos." this is something i find very difficult to achieve. without that, it will just be a plain jane snap shot. on the other hand, i personally feel not all shots need to tell a story. there are shots that just look perfectly stunning without any 'theme' behind it.

and why so? thats because i have read and seen many photos on the net as well as in this forum. many questions raised were "what is the story you wan to tell?"
maybe you would want to work along these lines and probably you will improve from there.

i have stopped shooting for quite awhile. i am learning and picking up again.

one thing i noticed as well. these shots have quite some 'noise'. probably you want to shoot at lower ISO. use a tripod

nice try on those shots... Try going lower ISo like 100 - 200. Manually adjust your ISO. and If you want it to be more better balance.. try tungsten White balance in exchange...

You third picture is very nice... would be better if you have gone lower ISO so that you can eliminte the noise...

GOod effort... Try again .... dont give up ...

In pics like #1 where there is no clear horizon, you might want to use the verticals in the picture to guage if your picture is tilted.

    #2 is obvious.

Not bad for a beginner. Time to get a good tripod and do some long exposures.

no worries man! im pretty new into photography as well. continue shooting and learn along the way. IMO, shooting at high ISO is like a 'desperate' solution.
from your shots, it seems to me that you're well prepared and plenty of time to take those shots. avoid high ISO as much as possible.
