So what's the market price now? Recently, I asked for quote for lens from three popular stores in Singapore, and the price difference is $300! That's why I am asking this question for this camera that I am eyeing for very long.

$2800 at MS Color a few days ago. If you get it at $2650, its a good price. For me, this was what I paid with the 4% GST last year. If you can get it anything lower than that with 5% GST, good on you but make sure you have the warranty included, dnt end up buying a grey unit.

As for the lens, $300 diff is too much to swallow man! Try MS Colour for equote or Alan Photo at Sim Lim Square (dnt ask the guy who looks sleepy and not interested ALL the time)

I actually check with TCW, Alan photo and MS for Sigma 15-30 and 24-70 f2.8. For Sigma 15-30, TCW's is the highest. I didn't question them, everyone do business differently. 24-70's price is about only $5 difference.

As for camera, I have only $2500 for budget. That's why cannpt find any thing now.

TCW takes some stock from other shops and thus play middle man, that is why some of their items are more expensive. Ask them and they will truthfully explain.

Default buying 10D

I think there's someone selling his 10D in the Buy and Sell Forum. He says that he does not have time to use it. You might want to meet up with him to test out his cam. Has 3 months warranty left if I am not mistaken. Its a tough cam and can take quite a bit of abuse so 2nd hand is still ok. In fact, look at some users who have stuck to their D60 for some time liao and still thoroughly happy.

With your budget, better to get the unit 2nd hand, save that couple of hundreds for a better lens. The Sigma 15-30mm is what I used to own, throw your savings back into there for a 17-40mmL if possible, you will not regret a single bit if you have a chance to compare results side by side

As for the 24-70mm, wonderful piece of amour but heavy and expensive ... I cannot justify the cost ... as yet

Best of luck with your purchase.
