    Default Hoya lenses?

I think if i am not wrong, HOYA HMC lenses are very old. Cannot remember if they are made in 1970 or 80.

I happen to have a 135mm f2.8 in mint condition, no fungus etc.
And it takes very nice picture. It is made fully in metal.

You probably have to check ebay for some sales, very very rare.

    Hope this helps.

Not sure about the age, but I use a Hoya 135/2.8 on my OM2n and the quality is excellent. It's as sharp as any Canon prime in that range, and smaller than most other lenses. It takes 52mm filters and is built like a tank. Makes a gorgeous portrait lens.

AFAIK the only way to get them in Sg is second hand. No new ones any more. It's probably the same company which makes Tokina. http://www.thkphoto.com/

I too have the 135 f2.8 Nikon mount and is a very sharp lens. It is now considered a collector item as it is out of production way back.
There's is one at Prime, short zoom (couldn't remember the range) and I thinks its either for Oly or Minolta mount. If your mount is either, go and grab it.

    Default Surprise Surprise

Was thinking I am alone in using HOYA lenses, but now it seems there could be a family out there. WOW. Howdy folks.

I was attracted by the built of the lenses, silver and black metal combination really makes it classy among the plastics.

And the lenses, coating that spells HOYA HMC.
Anyone aware of the range of lenses available/website to check?

Mencoolen has ceased to exist. Mr. Tan closed his shop in the basement of Adelphi a couple of years ago. Dont know about DSO.

I saw some new Hoya prime/zoom lenses available at Seng Cheong (the hoya agent?) in middle road. Call them up and ask if they still have any .
