Thanks megaweb I followed your advice and bought a 25mm extenstion tube. Now I can focus at a closer range rather than 1.5m which was the closest my 75-300mm can get. I bought a +4 closeup filter too, but find it difficult to use without tripod.

you can try to use a monopod ... although it is not as stable as tripod but it provide flexibility esp on composing. keep shooting and hope to see more of your shots

Great shots of the Striped Albatross, Bob. Well done!

The shot featuring the Plain Nawab shows it feeding on some liquid sap off the tree. You can see its "drinking straw" extended to suck up the liquids.

There's quite alot there, they like to feed on the tiny flowers under the MRT tracks. Theres also a couple plain tigers and a few other species under the shade of the trees there.

Plain tigers, did you say Plain tigers?
I bet it's not the mrt track going to Aljunied as I always walk there from my place and didnt notice butts.
Is it the MRT track going to Eunos?

Thanks for the info Bob, I think I should join you one of these days.
