    you do realise..

you need something at least before you go, by the time you find something to buy in finland you might be sick.

-4 to -10 isn't that bad, a simple sweater and a coat or a hoodie will do you fine.. just try to get something with wool mix or wool.

don't believe all the people who will tell you "yes, wear 7 layers".. once you start doing that you keep wearing 7 layers.

You may want to have a look at this thread and the thread on winter shoes in the Travel section:

Buy local or from USA. If you are not used to the cold, down + fleece is good.

Clothes in finland are not cheap.

How cold you feel depends not only on the temperature but also if there is any wind and humidity level. Higher wind and humidity will make you FEEL colder than where it is calm and dry.

Everyone's different I guess. Anything below 10'C I feel is quite cold. But if you will be moving around a lot, like hiking to a place to take pictures, then you may not feel as cold. I believe prices of just about any consumer goods in Finland and surrounding countries will be higher than Singapore.

Maybe can check with Santa what he wear to keep himSelf warm? Hahas. Jokes aside. If TS is the first time going on winter season, he should bring more (just in case). U will not know how cold is -10c until u reach there. I know long John might be a hassel, bring there just in case u need it as long John dun cost u a bomb.

Still I have to say it's depend on individuals.
    Enjoy ya trip bro.
