    Default Built in Flash

    Hi,
    If I have turn off my DSLR camera but I did not close back my build in flash, does the flash consider as turn off as well?

    Well what do you consider "off"?
    The capacitor is still charged and the charge will deplete slowly. You're in for a BIG shock if you open up the camera and touch the capacitor's foot. It won't fire or consume any extra electricity though.

    Hard to say and cannot test because there isn't a flash test button.

    It is off. It is not a complicated stuff, sometime i do not off my external flash too. It just goes standby, I do not feel any heat.
