Anyway, I nearly managed to get lobong with those NUH students, but on clarifications, was told they dont do cosmetic stuff. Walao. I wonder how Mystix got his lobang.

so $3.5k will get a ceramic one?

so when did u get it remove? result gd?
oops. sorry for not replying earlier...

i will be taking mine off in one or two months. actually there is no difference between ceramic or metallic and the price is tagged to how difficult it is to correct the teeth.

interestingly, more gals wear ceramic now. i went for an interview and 2 other gals were wearing them! we ended up chatting about the costs of braces and i'm paying the least! my dental clinic is in town btw... so it isn't those cheap neighbourhood clinics.

my brother is doing his dentistry course now..and under NUH...his charges are really pathetic but so far he's got alot of satisfied clients.

there are other of his friends around too.

but for those who have a budget in mind, maybe can approach NUH directly regarding this ?

    cheers

Haha.....I solved my wisdom teeth problem a few years ago while in NS (they pay mah....hehehe). One tripp ripped out all four of them, and the aftermath was legendary. I wasent trying to be a hero...the "specialists" at NDC advised me to pull all out at the same time one!

I wondered why I did not think of fixing on braces at that time...mutter....

But is it really necesary to remove the wisdom tooth when fixing dentures? Maybe it is so only for certain cases?

As for your earlier questions about no-nos after fixing them on, I am only aware about eating issues, and that we might have speech problems? I dont think u need to talk underwater, so......

BTW, dont bet on the idea that no pain = no problem leh. I was actually only experiencing pain in one of my tooth, but end up the xray show the other one also tilted like siao. The specialist explained that she needs to remove the top ones too so that they dont end up chewing up the soon-to-be exposed gums at the bottom....

    Therefore, be prepared for surprises!

Har....so long then they put in the metal ah....aiyoh...

Why do you guys need braces, btw? Mine was because they were crowded towards the back of the jaw, leaving noticeable gaps in front. Some people who notice it even asked if I had an accident and lost my permanent teeth. I wonder if my condition will take longer or shorter to put right?
