Default Bee-eater/woodpecker





saw a pair of woodpeckers going at the same tree. noticed that they had different styles of 'pecking'. one would peck at the hole and every so often do a circle round the trunk and resume pecking while the other one more or less went at it continuously.

Interesting observation erwin ... could it be that one is pecking for storage space? Love the spot on exposure on the wood pecker, good job

you guys are fantastic, and may I add, fanatic as well :thumsup:

just wondering have the CSBF considered publishing a bird collection (book or calendar) based on these pics? perhaps as a CS 3rd anniversary thin?

thanks for the comments. i'm still out looking for birds regularly but mostly record shots. occasionally can get some pics with nice background
